Downtown Boulder Station is a key part of the region’s transit network, connecting bus services to cities like Denver, Golden, Lafayette and Louisville and destinations like Denver International Airport.

While the station serves nearly the same number of bus lines as Denver’s Union Station, it has half the gate capacity, often leading to bus crowding.

To address this and other issues, the Downtown Boulder Station Expansion Project will increase bus service capacity and better serve growing rider demand for more convenient, accessible and comfortable regional travel.

The project is part of a larger effort by the city and surrounding communities to improve transit connections across the region and supports transportation goals to be safe, equitable and reliable, provide travel choices, and support clean air.

After years of preparation, including a formal review process that considered potential social and environmental impacts, project-specific criteria, and community feedback, we expect work to start next week at 14th Street between Canyon Boulevard and north of Arapahoe Avenue. Travelers can anticipate 14th Street to remain open to all travel modes, with some sidewalk, parking and single lane closures through summer construction.

The James Madison S.T.E.A.M. Academy took home the Peak Merit Award for New Construction Projects and St. Vrain Valley School District High School #9 won the Rockies Design Award for Unbuilt Projects.

Now in its 9th year, award-winning Colorado Construction & Design (CCD) is Colorado’s leading construction news and marketing magazine. CCD conducted reader research upon launching the magazine and readers told us what they most wanted to see. With that, we have created and delivered the kind of news they can use in a timely, organized manner.

CCD is the official publisher for AGC Colorado and Media Partner with numerous trade organizations including AIA, ACEC, CAMPC, RMMI, RMSCA, SMACNA, SMPS, ULI, USGBC and others. CCD serves as an information sharing resource for architects, engineers and contractors (the AEC industry) in Colorado.

CCD is direct mailed every six weeks to major AEC Colorado industry decision makers including real estate developers, business owners and government officials including those at the municipal, county, state and federal levels. CCD is also mailed to school districts, economic development agencies, chambers of commerce, Mayoral offices, the Governor and leading AEC Colorado industry association members and executives.
