Who else is not ready for this? I was really enjoying the nice fall weather we have had lately. If you have any flowers you want to save, you better cover them up tonight.

Frost and freeze conditions are likely overnight tonight. Temperatures are expected to range in the mid-30s across southern Iowa to near 30 degrees across northern Iowa.

This will always be a day that I remember.

Today marks the 13th Anniversary of the Parkersburg EF5 tornado. This deadly tornado ripped a 43 mile long path across northeast Iowa killing nine people. It was the most recent EF5 in Iowa since the Jordan tornado between Boone and Ames in 1976.

Looks like it will be an active severe weather day down south. If you have family/friends in Mississippi, tell them to be prepared.
