If you are building a new boat or updating your current one, you need to check this receptacle out made by Minn Kota. We installed them on our Andros Offshore 32 and found out very quickly that this is by far the most robust and positive locking accessory plug we have ever seen.

It is hidden under the trolling motor accessories on their website, but it is perfect for all of your electric reel connection. You can also easily make it your downrigger connection as well.

Just thought we would pass along something I wish we had found eight boats ago!! Thank you, Bill Carson and Ed Zyak for the recommendation!!

Have you ever tried night fishing? It can be a very relaxing family activity. Not a lot of boats out on the water causing wakes.

Just be sure to check the SiriusXM Marine weather for storms you may not be able to see brewing at night. Make sure you have a towing membership such as Sea Tow of Wrightsville Beach in case you run into any issues. Enjoy!!

A little to catch up on one of our recent finishes.

In October - we fished two piggy-backed events:
1) the Morehead City Open and
2) the North Carolina Troopers Association Fishing Tournament (a Southern Kingfish Association Division 1 event).

Our team boated a 43.47 # king for a 2nd Place finish in the Troopers KMT and added to that a 23.88 # on day 2 for a 7th place aggregate in the Morehead City Open KMT. Both are awesome annual events put on by great people! Like many events in our area, PointClickFish.com did a great job providing the live feed.

Congrats are in order for Ocean Isle Fishing Center's 1st Place aggregate win in the MCO and No Patience for the 1st Place big fish in the NC Troopers KMT!

Our family had an awesome time competing in the final qualifying leg of the Cape Lookout Shootout Tournament Series! Caught plenty of kings, like many teams, just not the 40+ range we needed. We brought a 31.06 and a 30.55 lb king to the scales.

Congrats to Flat Top for the win with a 48.24 and to all earning a payday! You know teams had a good day when the top 9 were in the 40s, followed by 25 fish in the 30s!!

We did earn a bonus for being on the winning Team Up #12 with the largest combined weight of 186.99 lbs. Not too shabby! Thanks to Reel Blessed Fishing Team, Gone Again, Triggermack, and Double Down Fishing for helping us earn a payday!!

Happy to have secured a 2nd place qualifying position for the North Division.

As always, the tournament staff and PointClickFish.com did a 1st rate job! Throughout the event everyone was moved by the strength of Terry Gay and the Blue Water Candy Lures family for joining the event after the recent loss of Jodie. A range of emotions was felt by all - a time for fellowship and seeing the Blue Water Candy Lures team carrying on the torch.

We look forward to competing with the best of the best in the championship on Nov. 8!!

Who else is fishing the New River Marina’s 2nd Annual Battle of Onslow Bay ? It's fishing 2 out of 3 days with multiple entry options (besides king mackerel) including wahoo, dolphin, spanish, and blackfin tuna!

Busy fall tournament time. Performance East Marine came to the rescue! 100 hour service slipped up on us.

Lots of hard work went into catching one lucky fish today! We weighed in a 43.47 # king mackerel! This fish counted towards two events:

1) Morehead City Open - a two day, two-fish aggregate event with a 60 boat limited field. Saturday was Day 1. All teams fish again Sunday with the goal to add to today's fish weight. We currently sit in 3rd Place.

2) North Carolina Troopers Association Fishing Tournament - a big fish captain's choice event. Choose Saturday or Sunday. Saturday was our declared fishing day. 73 out of 94 teams fished today - with the remaining 21 fishing Sunday. We currently sit in 2nd Place.

Time for some ZZZZZs and see if we can get lucky again tomorrow! 🤔

Somebody please pinch me!! Yesterday, Mark and Joshua boated a 55.42 # - earning a 1st Place finish in the The Bone Suckin Sauce King of the Cape Open King Mackerel Tournament!!

This long-time tournament, put on by David Lucas benefitting the Methodist Home for Children, is part of Division 1 of Southern Kingfish Association and Zone 1 of Angler Armory Fishing Club's Fish What You Wish. Town Creek Marina & Yacht Sales hosts the annual event. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who worked in the hot sun over the weekend!

Although Mark and Joshua were able to catch, fight, gaff and boat this monster and bring it to the scales, Mark asked Crockett if he could please try not to miss any more events this year. 🙂 Mark said his body hurts from head to toe!! 🤣🤣🤣

Some really big events are still yet to come. Regardless of whether the streak continues, I am very proud of what Liquid Fire has accomplished! A lot of hard work goes into what we do. It is truly a family/team effort!
