Heart disease is the #1 killer…of men, of women, of our communities. It does not care about political parties, state lines, or tax brackets. But the reality is, marginalized communities, especially women of color, face the highest risks and the greatest barriers to care.

If we’re serious about healthcare in this country, we need real solutions:
✔️ Increased funding for heart disease research and prevention
✔️ Better access to affordable screenings and early detection
✔️ Policies that address medical bias and disparities in treatment
✔️ Expanded healthcare access for all communities, regardless of income

This isn’t a red or blue issue..it’s a life-or-death issue. It’s time to put health over politics

The Central Pointe Church of Christ Marriage Conference
February 14-16, 2025 at Central Pointe Church of Christ, 7440 S Westmoreland Rd, Dallas, TX 75237
Starts Friday night with date night...Prom Night
VIP is $140 per couple and includes a chef-prepared gourmet dinner, live entertainment including musical performances by Roshawn Eve, spoken word by Kyra Owens, a stellar host who’s truly a star, Shanta Q, and laugh-out-loud comedy headliner, Angelia Walker. Doors open at 6 p.m. The show starts at 7 p.m.
Prom Night General admission starts at 8 p.m. and costs $75 per couple.
Saturday, the marriage conference starts at 8 a.m. with continental breakfast. The program starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon.
The weekend culminates with Marriage Matters Sunday School class on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and worship service starting at 9:30 a.m. with guest preacher, Sam Bailey of Cedar Valley Church of Christ.

Someone just asked me who I looked up to in fashion, and honestly, I didn’t have to look far💃🏾my mama, my grandmother, my Aunt Patsy, and my Aunt Ruby were all the style icons, I needed. The way they carried themselves, the way they put things together with such ease and elegance❤️it was all right there at home.

But if I had to name outside influences? Oh, it was always the ones who exuded confidence, boldness, and timeless style❤️Dominique Deveraux (Diahann Carroll), Joan Collins, Grace Jones, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and Lisa Bonet. Women who knew how to command attention without saying a word. Women who made fashion an attitude, not just an outfit.

Style isn’t just about what you wear♥️it’s about how you show up. And these women? They showed up bold, beautiful, and unapologetic every time.

I got a message from a friend today wishing me a Happy Heart Month, and it really touched me. This is actually the fifth message I’ve received today from a close friend, and honestly, I’m just so grateful.

Grateful to still be here. Grateful for the love. Grateful that people take the time to send these messages because it’s a reminder of just how much this journey means🙏🏾not just to me, but to the people around me.

Sometimes, we move so fast that we don’t stop to acknowledge the simple but powerful gift of being here. So today, I’m pausing to say thank you—to my friends, my family, my community. Your love and support mean everything. And if no one has told you today, I appreciate you, and I’m so glad you’re here too. 💜
