Haven't shared much of what is happening with our plots. We have found out, it really doesn't matter what you plant. If it's green, it's holding water. Late summer and early fall, our creek beds will dry up. Making water hard to find. This will allow for forms of hydration that is often over looked. From morning dew setting on a leaf, to water stored inside the plant.

Heat detection and being able to identify are 2 different features.
Thou, detection is nice, being able to identify is a must.

Posture, ears, tail and many other details can help determine the species when in the field.

I can honestly say, "I've probably let more coyotes walk, then I'd like to admit". Yet, it's better then walking up on a mistake you can't take back.
