When we speak with both, we build others up in faith, guide them with grace, and honor God’s will. Let your words be a light—gentle, honest, and rooted in love. Amen

After asking God three times to take away his thorn, Paul received an answer: “My grace is sufficient” (2 Corinthians 12:9). When life feels overwhelming or when you struggle to overcome sin, hold onto those words. His grace is sufficient. God’s grace is enough to keep you steady when everything feels uncertain. Trust that His grace will strengthen and sustain you. I’m praying you feel that grace today—Amen

When we seek God’s Kingdom first, everything else falls into place. But it starts with renewing our minds daily — aligning our thoughts with His Word and surrendering our will to His purpose. True transformation begins when we let go of the world’s way of thinking and embrace the mind of Christ. His peace, wisdom, and direction are ours when we put Him first. Trust Him, seek Him, and be renewed. “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).

Walking with God requires being in harmony with Him. If you’re at odds with Him about anything, staying in step with Him becomes difficult. You can’t walk closely with someone if you’re headed in different directions or standing on opposite sides.

Walking with God involves inviting Him into every part of your life — your choices, thoughts, and aspirations. It’s a complete and intentional commitment to journey with Him in all things.Amen

During this fast, ask the Holy Spirit to help you guide your thoughts and emotions so that Faith-filled words prevail! Amen

As we start the new year with prayer, fasting, and seeking God, we invite you to join our 21-Day Daniel Fast from January 6th through January 26th. During this time, we will pray together for our nation, our community, and God’s plans for 2025.

Biblical Fasting is more than just giving up certain foods — it’s about growing in faith and drawing closer to God through focused prayer. The Daniel Fast involves eating simple, healthy foods as a way to honor God. While some may lose weight, the real purpose is to grow spiritually and strengthen our relationship with Him.

Let’s step into this new year with hope and expectation. Join us as we seek God’s guidance and blessings!

Love Seeks the Highest Good of Others

Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV)
_"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."_

Reflection:
The essence of love, as described in the Bible, transcends mere emotions and sentiments. It is an active, intentional pursuit of the highest good for others. In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul beautifully outlines the characteristics of true love, setting a high standard for us to follow.

Love is patient and kind, displaying a gentle spirit even in the face of provocation. It does not envy or boast; it finds no pleasure in self-exaltation but rejoices in the blessings and successes of others. Love is not proud; it humbles itself, placing others' needs above its own.

When we truly love, we honor others, refraining from actions that bring shame or harm. Love is not self-seeking; it is the antithesis of selfishness, always looking out for the welfare of others. It is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs, offering forgiveness freely and seeking reconciliation.

Love delights in the truth, celebrating honesty and integrity. It stands as a protector, a steadfast force that never gives up on others. It trusts, hoping for the best and enduring through every trial.

Application:
As we seek to embody this kind of love, we must ask ourselves: Are we truly seeking the highest good for those around us? Do our actions reflect the selfless, enduring love that Paul describes?

Consider the relationships in your life. Where can you practice patience and kindness more intentionally? Are there areas where envy or pride have crept in, and how can you root them out? How can you honor others in your words and deeds, putting their needs before your own?

This week, challenge yourself to one specific act of love each day. It could be a word of encouragement, a kind gesture, or a forgiving heart. Let these actions be motivated by a desire to seek the highest good for others, reflecting the love that Christ has for us.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for showing us the perfect example of love through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to love others as You have loved us, with patience, kindness, and humility. Teach us to seek the highest good for those around us, putting their needs above our own. May our love be a reflection of Your grace and truth, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
