I (Judy Keller) love North Dakota and the Carrington area where I live. I enjoy administering a website where I can highlight all the news, fun activities, events and personal/business accomplishments that are taking place in our area. One of my very favorite pastimes is photographing the beauty of this area and its people. I thoroughly enjoy visiting with and learning from the people who follow m

y site. Also, since I created the "Memories of Carrington" group, it is a pleasure corresponding with people, both locally and from all over the country/world, who have an interest in Carrington's past. You will notice that I like to feature Prairie Paws Rescue and James River Humane Society, animal rescue groups located in Jamestown, ND. You can tell from this site how much I love animals and truly admire the people who rescue animals in need. I want to thank everyone who visits and participates in making this site a worthwhile adventure. Let's have some fun communicating with and learning from each other!

Every year Brenda Zink creates fantastic flower gardens all around the Zink farmhouse near Carrington. It's a delight to see not only the flower arrangements, but also the antiques that she incorporates into her landscaping. As you look at these pictures, just think of the time and energy it must take to accomplish these gardening works of art. Thanks so much to Brenda for inviting us out for lunch and to enjoy her beautiful gardens!

Dr. Dawn should get Business of the Century! We love Dr. Dawn and her crew!

Congratulations to Dr. Dawn's Pet Stop and staff on receiving the Business of the Month award for August!

“When our black lab had a seizure, we had to rush over to Dr. Dawn's. Dr. Dawn and her team were able to take us in immediately and were very understanding. When nothing was found in testing, Dr. Dawn took time to explain why dogs might have seizures and what to do to make sure he's comfortable if he were to ever have another one. Her and the staff’s compassion shined through as Dr. Dawn took time to explain why she was doing something, and the staff stood by to help with it all. They always go above and beyond not just for the pet owners, but for the pets themselves!”

Job well done! We're proud to have businesses like Dr. Dawn's Pet Stop in our community doing the most they can!

Gluten free goodies... Yum!

Back by popular demand...triple chocolate cake, rhubarb crisp in the cooler, vanilla donuts and a few cranberry lime scones are at most locations (including Sunshine Sweets and Jamestown's Whisk 'N Crumb Bakery after 5pm Tuesday)! Hi everybody! I just took this video from my front porch. Lots of fluffy snow! It's the ice under the snow that's causing problems. A severe weather alert has been issued for Foster County because of icy roads. "A wintry mix of light freezing rain, sleet, and snow will continue to lift northeast across portions of southwest and central North Dakota this morning. Travel will be hazardous due to snow covered roads or a light glaze of ice on area roadways. The chance of freezing rain will decrease during the day today, with afternoon temperatures rising above freezing. Ice accumulations are expected to remain low, but it only takes a light glaze to create very slippery conditions." So, be safe out there! #icyroads #moresnow #carringtonnd #carringtonndnews

Christmas Lights Parade down Main Street, Carrington, ND - December, 2023

Just driving around town after the recent snow... Nothing special. Just quick shots from the car. We got back from three weeks in Florida just before the snow started falling. Folks tell me the weather was great while we were away. It actually got down to 39 degrees one morning while we were in St. Augustine. Believe it or not, some people were going around in heavy coats and and earmuffs!☺️ You could tell who the visiting northerners were by what they were wearing. Florida weather was nice, but it's GREAT to be back home in Carrington. Wherever you are today, I hope you're enjoying yourself and appreciating Life's blessings.
