CASTING NOTICE 2 - Casting for Untitled Frontier Series
Nonunion
Filming beginning Mid-October (Dates per episode TBD)
Location: Lexington, KY
Seeking featured talent for upcoming Untitled Frontier Series (nonunion project) filming in Lexington, KY. Talent for these roles MUST have strong horseback riding skills. Additionally, these roles will be portrayed outdoors and will be physical roles (action heavy). Actors should reference horseback riding ability and any former stunt experience during their auditions. Talent should be comfortable around fi****ms/weapons on set. ALSO, where noted, please be sure to demonstrate your accent if required by role.
We will be casting for other roles as the project evolves. At this time, here is what we are currently casting. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INDICATED PROTOCOLS BELOW.
Rates for these roles will be competitive. Travel will be negotiable as applicable. These roles will credited.
HERE ARE THE ROLES FOR THIS CASTING:
HARROD EPISODE –
1) CAPTAIN THOMAS BULLITT
Caucasian Male – age approx. 45. A United States military officer out of Virginia and pioneer on its western frontier. He operated out of Fort Pitt and after the French and Indian War, he was authorized by Governor Dunmore to organize efforts to survey the still contested Kentucky territory in an effort to bring some order to the newly claimed region.
2) HUGH WILSON
Caucasian Male – age approx. 30. One of the 30 men led by James Harrod who traveled down the Ohio River and built Harrod’s Town. These men would come to bring their families, brave harsh winters and constant threat of attack, and create the first settlement west of the Allegheny mountains.
3) GEORGE ROGERS CLARK
Caucasian Male – age approx. 24. An explorer, soldier, and militia officer from Virginia who became the highest-ranking American patriot military officer on the northwestern frontier during the American Revolutionary War. After the war, Clark was charged with aiding the settlements on the farthest reaches of the western frontier; he chose to make Fort Harrodsburg his base of operations.
4) CHIEF BLACKFISH
Native American Male – age approx. 50. Blackfish was a leader of the Chillicothe division of the Shawnee tribe. When the Shawnees were defeated in Dunmore's War in 1774, the resulting peace treaty pushed Native American lands as far back as Ohio. Chief Blackfish refused to acknowledge the loss of their traditional hunting grounds in Kentucky and was willing to fight for them.
BAILEY EPISODE –
1) RICHARD TROTTER
Caucasian Male - 30-35 – Very much a backwoodsman, at home in the woods and frontier, he and Anne share a child. He was also a combat veteran who served when called upon, and died in combat.
2) JOHN BAILEY
Caucasian Male - 40s – Anne’s second husband after Richard is killed. A revolutionary war veteran of the legendary Rangers, John Bailey served along the frontier and remained in the Rangers. He served on the frontier protecting it from Native and other threats.
3) COLONEL GEORGE CLENDENIN
Caucasian Male - 35 – A Virginian pioneer who commands the Rangers at Fort Lee, often known as “Fort Clendenin”, he’s instrumental in the settlement of Kanawha Valley, and founder of Charlestown, WV. Clendenin sees in Anne an exceptional skill and talent as a horseback messenger, and entrusts her
with the most crucial tasks imaginable.
4) MILITIA OFFICER
Caucasian Male - 30s – Official who is impressed by Anne’s grit and determination and gives Anne the opportunity to become a true frontier scout.
5) ARMY OFFICER
Caucasian Male - 40s – An officer Anne meets at Fort Savannah when she’s retrieving ammunition for Fort Lee. He doesn’t like that Anne is in the kind of position a man traditionally holds and tries to antagonize her.
BARTAM EPISODE -
1) JOHN BARTRAM
Caucasian male - 50s – An established, legendary Botanist, important in American and Philadelphian society.... Known as “the King’s Botanist” he is a good friend of Benjamin Franklin, and the creator of the famed Bartram’ Gardens in Pennsylvania, and Wiliam’s father.
2) JOHN MCINTOSH
Caucasian male - 20s – A good family friend of the Bartram’s, he grew up in The Carolinas and Georgia and knows the area well. He accompanies Bartram for much of his journey.
3) BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
Caucasian Male - Late 50s – The famed founding father, a next door neighbor of the Bartrams, and good friend to them, their careers and their adventures.
4) CREEK NATIVE CHIEF
Native American Male - 40s - 50s - Creek Native Chief; sets Bartram on his path to find Cowkeeper.
5) MR. RUMSEY
Caucasian male - 40s – A good-natured Englishman who’s learned the language and the medicine of the local Native American tribes. He saves William from an untimely demise.
6) COWKEEPER
Native American Male - 40s – An English speaking Seminole chieftain. He is an ally and friend to Bartram during his quest.

For your audition, please provide the following information:
• Slate with first and last name
• Location
• Current height & weight
• Are you comfortable around horses?
• Do you have experience riding horses?
• Are you comfortable around fi****ms?
• MALES - your ability to grow a beard.
• Then you should go into the acting of the script.
