A remarkable chapter of Carmel Football comes to a close, as the school announces a change in leadership and the resignation of Head Coach John Hebert. Hebert’s 30 year career on the Greyhounds staff and decade-long tenure as Head Coach has left a lasting positive impact on the student athletes, assistant coaches, and community members of Carmel. Hebert’s dedication to the success and well-being of the school, city, football program, and most importantly the human beings within it, is what made him one of the most respected and appreciated community leaders in recent memory.
The WHJE family is resoundingly grateful for Coach Hebert’s time with the Greyhounds, and every memory associated with it. Over the years, his teams have provided the Greyhound Media Network as a collective the wonderful opportunity to cover a successful and abundant football program.
Thank you, Coach Hebert, for 82 wins.
Thank you for 6 Sectional titles.
Thank you for 4 Regional titles.
Thank you for a State Championship.
91.3 WHJE, its Sports Department, and the students and alumni within it are incredibly grateful for every lasting memory this past decade of Carmel Football has provided.
The impact of Coach Hebert’s time, energy, and efforts has improved the lives of hundreds of students, parents, and members of the community of Carmel.
As the curtains close on this chapter of Carmel Football… WHJE says thank you.

Lots going on at the station! 🚧 Right now our live booth, news room, and podcast room are completely ripped out and are awaiting new upgrades! This construction of the station will take place over the next six weeks and will include amazing updates for our equipment and will increase the station’s performance. But don’t worry, we haven’t gone ANYWHERE!! WHJE is still up and running and you are able to tune in on 91.3 for live broadcasts and music as well as exploring our website, whje.com, for fabulous podcasts and content!

CHS!! Prom is right around the corner! Prom is Saturday, May 4th, from 8-11 p.m. at 502 East Event Center. Prom tickets are now on sale via GoFan. Tickets are $40 per person and include entry to after prom (11 p.m. - 2 a.m. at CHS). Carmel students wishing to bring a guest from another school must pick up a guest form in Student Services, have the form completed by an administrator at the school of the guest, and submit it back to Student Services. Guest tickets can be purchased at the bookstore after the guest form has been turned in.
