Bubur mutiara is a traditional dessert porridge made of pearl sago, coconut milk, and pandan leaves. It’s vegan, not too heavy, and can be enjoyed hot or cold.

Ingredients:

150 gr pearl sago
125 gr sugar
1 lt water
400 ml coconut milk
1 tsp salt
1 pandan leaf , knotted or cut to pieces

INGREDIENTS:
▪️ I'm using turkey in this recipe
▪️2 Tbsp cooking oil
▪️1 Tbsp seedless tamarind
▪️500 ml coconut cream about 1 cup

Ingredients to grind:

▪️1 large purple onion peeled and quartered
▪️6 cloves garlic peeled or minced garlic
▪️10 candlenuts or sub with macadamia nuts
▪️1 inch fresh ginger
▪️2 tsp coriander powder
▪️1 inch turmeric root or use 1 Tbsp turmeric powder
▪️1 inch galangal root or use galangal powder
▪️1/2 cup dried chillies and 5 pieces of fresh chillies

Herbs:

▪️1 lemongrass stalk discard woody ends and outer leaves
▪️5 kaffir lime leaves
▪️3-5 bay leaves (daun salam)

Seasonings:

1 tsp salt or more to taste
2 tsp sugar

Ingredients:

▪️500 grams Minced beef
▪️3 tbsp Tapioca starch
▪️5 cloves Garlic, minced or powder
▪️1/2 tsp White pepper
▪️1/2 tbsp Salt
▪️1 tsp Chicken broth
▪️50 grams Ice cube, crashed
▪️Water to boil

Cooking Instructions:

Step 1

Boil the water. Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl, except, beef bones and noodles.

Step 2

Make meatballs and put them into boiling water until floating. Remove the floating meatballs from the boiling water and set a side. Meatballs are ready to use.

Step 3

I like to eat them with noodle soup.

Ingredients:

▪️1¾ cup coconut milk, divided
▪️50 g (~3 Tbsp) green curry paste, store bought or homemade (see note)
▪️1 cup chicken stock, unsalted
▪️1 lb chicken thigh, boneless, skinless, cut into 1-inch pieces
▪️2 Tbsp palm sugar, finely chopped (can substitute brown or granulated sugar)
▪️3-4 kaffir lime leaves, roughly torn
▪️1 cup Thai basil ( mine use dried basil )
▪️▪️6 red bell pepper or sweet mini peppers
▪️Jasmine rice for serving

HOMEMADE GREEN CURRY PASTE:

▪️2 tsp coriander seeds
▪️1 tsp cumin seeds
▪️½ tsp white peppercorns
▪️15 green Thai chilies or green chilli
▪️1 tsp salt
▪️15 Thai basil leaves, finely julienned
▪️3 Tbsp lemongrass, thinly sliced
▪️1 Tbsp galangal, finely chopped
▪️2 tsp kaffir lime zest, finely chopped (or sub lime zest)
▪️2 tsp cilantro roots, finely chopped, or 2 Tbsp cilantro stems, finely chopped
▪️3 Tbsp shallots, finely chopped
▪️2 Tbsp garlic, finely chopped
▪️1 tsp fermented shrimp paste

Ingredients need:

Ingredients:
- 1 Tofu
- 2 eggs
- 1 plastic bag of frozen carrots
- 1 plastic bag of green beans
- 1 cup cabbage
- 1 cup peanuts
- brown sugar
- 2 tsp white sugar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp shrimp paste powder
- 1 cup crackers ( optional)
- 5 chillies
- rice cake ( optional )

How to make the sauce:
-fried the peanut after cooked,put chillies,brown sugar, garlic and shrimp paste powder together and blend it.
You can put kaffir lime leaves if you have.

INGREDIENTS
For the marinade
▢4 tablespoons olive oil
▢2 teaspoons chili powder
▢1 1/2 teaspoon salt
▢1 teaspoon onion powder
▢1 teaspoon garlic powder
▢1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
▢1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
▢1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
▢2 limes, juiced (about 4 tablespoons)
For the tacos
▢2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs and shrimp
▢3 or more corn tortillas (or flour tortillas)
▢hot sauce chile habanero or your favorite salsa (optional)

Malaysian Chicken Curry

Ingredients:
6 shallots
8 garlic cloves
1 stalk lemongrass
1 (2-inch) piece ginger
5 dried red chiles
2 Thai red chiles, for extra spice (optional)
5 tablespoons oil
5 tablespoons Malaysian curry powder or curry powder you have
1/2 teaspoon chile powder, plus more to taste
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cinnamon stick
2 star anise
10 to 15 curry leaves
2 1/2 pounds bone-in chicken thighs and drumsticks
4 cups water, or enough to cover chicken
3 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 1/2 cups coconut milk

Directions:

In a food processor, blend the shallots, garlic, lemongrass, ginger, and both chiles until they form a smooth paste. (Alternatively, you can take the more traditional, and more laborious, route—pounding it with a mortar and pestle until smooth.)

Heat up the oil in a deep pot or wok set over medium heat. Add the blended paste and stir-fry until it turns fragrant and intensifies in color. This should take 6 to 8 minutes.

Then, add the curry powder, chile powder, and salt, frying for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the spice paste starts to glisten and split and you can see an oily film separate from the paste itself. This is the “pecah minyak” stage. (If your paste is cooking too quickly and starts to burn, add a teaspoon or two of water.)

When the spice paste has reached the “pecah minyak” stage, add the cinnamon stick, star anise, curry leaves, and chicken. Mix and continue frying for 3 to 5 minutes, until the chicken is evenly coated in the curry paste. Then, pour water into the pot until the pieces of chicken are just covered. Cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Add the potatoes, and simmer for another 25 to 30 minutes, until both the chicken and potatoes are cooked through.

Finally, pour in the coconut milk. Give it a quick stir, and let the curry simmer for another 2 to 3 minutes. Taste the curry, adding more salt at this stage if necessary.

The curry is best served hot. It’s especially great with steamed white rice along with other Asian sides, or with Malaysian breads like roti canai or roti jala.
