Hey everyone, Many of you know, I'm a two-time cancer survivor who nearly lost my right arm. By the grace of God, I kept it, and now I'm back on the golf course with one goal: a single-digit handicap by the end of 2025. 🏌️‍♂️

I saw this question posted in one of my groups.

If who I am is what I have and what I have is lost, then who am I?

My reply to this is...

If what you possess defines you, and those possessions vanish, then who you are remains unchanged. Your essence, your character, the purpose that drives you, and the principles you uphold, are the cornerstones of your identity. They transcend material wealth and cannot be lost or diminished.

Remember, your worth is not measured by your belongings, but by the strength of your spirit and the impact you have on the world.

Let's just say "Road House 2024" redefines the term 'masterpiece'...of cinematic disaster. Jake Gyllenhaal's brooding stares were a valiant effort, but they couldn't quite make up for Conor McGregor's acting debut. His performance was so gloriously awful, it made watching paint dry seem like an Oscar-worthy drama.

The plot? Well, let's just say it had all the complexity of a kindergarten play. The rest of the characters were so remarkably unmemorable that they made cardboard cutouts seem dynamic. If you're looking for a film that'll leave you pondering the meaning of life, this ain't it.

Honestly, I was tempted to turn it off halfway through, but the sheer entertainment value of the trainwreck kept me glued to my seat. Trust me, those two hours will feel like an eternity, but an eternity filled with the kind of laughter that comes from witnessing something truly terrible.

So, if you're in the mood for an experience that'll make you question the entire film industry, fire up Amazon Prime and watch "Road House 2024." Consider it a public service: saving everyone else from wasting their precious time on this gem.

Sharing the Light, Not Judging the Darkness

Friends & Family, it's true, you see me talking about Jesus a lot. But here's the secret: it's not about being better than anyone. It's about sharing a fire that warms me from the inside, a story that lifts me in the darkest nights. Sharing this isn't an option for me as a follower of Christ; it's like keeping a life-saving raft to myself while someone desperately clings to a rock.

Jesus showed me the power of forgiveness, a cleansing wave that erases the slate and paints possibilities on a blank canvas. He whispered hope in my ear when doubt screamed, and offered a hand when I stumbled. I'd be a hypocrite, a silent witness to a miracle, if I kept this life-changing gift a secret.

Turns out, Aqua Zumba is aquafantastic!

Who knew this flailing-in-the-shallow-end routine would turn into our new pool party paradise? I dragged my skeptical self to water Zumba with my wife BBobbie Green Koontzlast night, expecting a snoozefest of synchronized arm circles. Boy, was I wrong on a whole new level!

We kicked, splashed, and laughed our way through the entire class. Seeing my usually serious sweetheart with a smile ear-to-ear, hair-dripping Pitt Bull rhythms, was seriously worth more than gold (and maybe even slightly less chlorine ). It was a marriage-strengthening splashtacular like no other!

We even made some fantastic new friends who are all about that underwater fiesta. Turns out, there's a whole community of people living their best water-logged lives, and we're all in! Now, guess who's suddenly got his own water Zumba swimsuit and is plotting our next aquatic adventure?

Marriage tip of the day: Take the plunge, even if the water looks a little deep. Do those things that make your partner's heart happy, even if you think it's more your grandma's jam. Shared experiences, big smiles, and chlorine-scented memories – that's the recipe for a happy (and slightly salty) ever after.

So, ditch the routine, grab your floaties, and live a little! You might just discover your own inner aqua star (or at least learn a killer mambo shuffle). And who knows, you might even end up loving it more than your spouse... but hey, that's a story for another time.

PS. My wife says I have to add that it's twice-weekly Aqua Zumba from now on. So, if you see a couple doing the Macarena underwater, that's probably us. Don't be shy, come join the splash party!
