Timer is set to a .60 second par time. The goal is to have the new magazine touching the magwell by the second beep... that way I have .40 seconds to rebuild my grip and get the gun back on target before breaking the shot at 1 second flat.
Not quite there yet... But LIGHT YEARS FROM WHERE I WAS!
PROCESS FOCUSED, NOT RESULTS FOCUSED!
Getting there!
Had a little fun filming a new promo video with my oldest son...
Back at it with World Champion, Ben Stoeger.
Another run from yesterday... Did these VERY CONSISTENTLY... mostly all A's... If I did miss it was typically only 1 out of 6 like this one. Really proud and happy with the group of 5 of these... The one I threw I got lazy with my vision for a second and followed my dot up there. Other than that, another great run.
Got to spend 45 minutes at the range yesterday with me, myself and I.
Love some time just to practice and just "be".
Bill drill, clean (line breaker at the top)... 1.81 seconds.
Had some fun on the range Saturday with our Pistol / Rifle Hybrid Class...
Ready up putting 3 into an A Zone target at 7 yards, transition to 2 steel targets at 30 yards, bolt lock emergency reload to a steel target at 50 yards... Transition to secondary firearm, 3 into the A Zone, 1 on each of the steel.
12.82 seconds, clean.
Going to be making a coaching video in the upcoming days of how to consistently get under a one second draw, on target. This is a little sneak peak as to how I practice... The second beep par time is set to one second. In this video I'm consistently seeing what I need to see and breaking the shot around a .85
Notice how very little extra movement there is with my mechanics. Notice how both hands move at the same time on the beep. Stay tuned... an entire video dedicated to teaching you how to consistently get under a second on target is coming soon!
