When originally opened in 1997, Low Key Studios, then known as SF Records, was a direct-to-two-track facility with live mixing and recording. This was inspired by the great Stax recording studios in Memphis, TN, which recorded 90% of their hits directly to mono tape. In early 2005, a completely new studio facility was built in Carbondale, Illinois with updated technology allowing for up to 24 simu

ltaneous recording tracks. Tracking can be done at up to 96 kHz at 24 bits, using Adobe Audition as it's DAW. We have bounced many sessions into ProTools and other computer-based environments where necessary. We have many instruments available in-house for use (additional fees apply):

Fender Rhodes 73 Stage Piano, Hohner Pianet, Hammond B-3 Organ, Motion Sound Leslie-Type Cablnet, Fender Basses, Fender Guitars, Roland & Korg Keyboards, DW Drums, Ampeg B-15 and Ampeg B-100R Bass Amps, Ampeg Guitar Amps, and Martin Acoustic Guitars.

We have many instruments available in-house for use: Fender Rhodes 73 Stage Piano, Wurlitzer 150B Electric Piano, Hammond B-3 Organ w/Leslie, Motion Sound Leslie-Type Cablnet, Several Fender Basses, Fender Guitars, Roland & Korg Keyboards, Gretsch Drums, Ampeg B-15, Fender Bassman and Ampeg B-100R Bass Amps, Fender, Boss and Peavey Guitar Amps, and Martin Acoustic Guitars.
