Anyone else kind of feeling sad there's no Babe Ruth World Series games today? What an exceptional job to all those involved in bringing this amazing event to our area.

And then it was over….

Thank you to everyone who made this week a success. It was a great week filled with lots of great baseball and great weather. I couldn’t be prouder of the event.

To all of our staff, umpires, Babe Ruth officials, sponsors, fans, and players: You were tremendous. I hope everyone enjoyed it. You made the event possible.

I look forward to traveling somewhere new next year. It will be good to relax a bit. But I’m currently working on locking it down for 2037 when the Cal-Man is 16. I want my son to get this experience. Every kid deserves it.

Also thank you to all of Southeast Missouri for showing up, thank you City of Cape and Cape Central for for the beautiful facilities that provided the backdrop for the week. Thank you to the parks and rec for your hard work. And thank you to the volunteers. This was a first class operation.

Congratulations to the Alabama Rawdogs on their championship. They played incredible all week.

Safe travels to everyone heading home. I hope you enjoyed it. We’ll see you at a ballpark soon.
