We are fortunate to spend a good portion of our lives in the water. My husband and I both strive to be the parents who are active with our kids and not watching from the side lines. The exception is when our kids are happily playing with their best friends and then I get some mom time in with my mom friends at the same time.

Did I mention that our temperature runs 90°-100° all summer? It's hot! We always keep cold waters and drinks on us to make sure we do not get dehydrated.

It’s hard to make time for ourselves. I recently started a 45 day diet (again) this time I have eliminated Diet Coke, alcohol and coffee creamer from my day, along with increased water intake and low calories. I feel wonderful. More than losing the weight, which feels great, is finding some of my creative juices flowing and positivity creeping back in. (It's been the hardest 15 months of my life and personal strength is dwindling).

We just made it through Fourth of July and our shelters and Facebook feeds were filled with scared pups. Nukey is beyond loved and I would be absolutely devastated if she was lost- she is also petrified of fireworks.

I’m sadly often amazed at how many posts I see on social media for lost or found animals who do not have tags. It was one of the first purchases we made for her as a puppy and it still looks brand new. Of course Zero has one too.
