Even my newer songs are 20 years old ... perspective. This one is from the early 2000s.

When you get old, no matter what you are playing you hum horn parts. I always loved that this worked by its self or w/ an entire band… hence humming of horn parts.

I learned “We are one in the spirit” back in my hippy Jesus days. It’s in Gm7 get funky. Lots of progressions I’ve repurposed for years. Thank you Charlie Grimes and Bob Finnie.

Our Carriage House Recording Studio

We’d love to meet you. We have free writer's events (Bring Your Song, aka BYS) at the studio once/month. The first monday night of every month, usually 6:30PM. Check http://www.bringyoursong.com for dates/times. It’s a great way to meet others who share your passion for creating great music.

The Carriage House, home of Realgrey Records, is a private recording studio owned and operated by Ron Flack (Me). The studio has grown with a group of songwriters, players, producers and mixers. The physical studio is run by my studio cohort, John King and I.
