Wrapped up an incredible event by DJ’ing the birthday party for Mark Evans DM ! Ten years of events and he went out with a bang!
Firstly, thank you for trusting me to provide the vibes, musically for the entire event these past couple of years! I’m so grateful to have been a part of it!

Sean Whalen had us wondering what we had to become to be the person we want to be. When you figure it out, are you going to execute or sit on the porch? You going to be a lion or a sheep?
Cody Alford got us thinking about answering your calling when called to, “Get on that roof!”. When you hear that calling, are you going to step up and answer the call? Or are you going to let it go to voicemail and disappointment every single person you care about?
CharlieRocket.official had the entire room choked up with how inspirational his story was. Showing us that dreaming big is imperative!
Wrapped it all up yet again with a birthday bash for the OG where a room full of entrepreneurs stepped up and put their money where their mouth is and raised over $700,000 for Dream Machine Foundation which will help make dreams come true for more than 70 kids!
Shoutout to Elec Simon for trusting me with these type of connections. Everybody definitely can’t be in every room.

There are a lot of "playlist managers" out in the world that call themselves DJ's and it's given the craft a stigma of being a talentless medium. All we do I just play music. You couldn't be more wrong.
There is a lot that goes into TRULY DJ'ing.

I've been on a fitness journey for the past six months. The biggest takeaway I've gotten from it is to learn to love the journey. That's what makes things stick.
I've been taking that same approach with DJ'ing and it's made gigs that much more fun. I love to DJ. I love being an alchemist of music. The experience of taking a crowd on a journey to their past and invoking memories is so dope. Taking artists that would never set foot in a studio together and conjuring up a collaboration. these are the moments I've learned to love. The money, attention and love are just byproducts.
I challenge you all to apply this to an aspect of your life.

Long caption, but worth the read! About a year ago, I stopped producing music because it no longer fulfilled me. Fast forward to last week, during a Zoom call discussing logistics for an upcoming event, I suddenly felt the urge to download Logic Pro again and started working on a new beat. At the #IgniteYourLife event in Boise, Idaho, I had dinner with some notable speakers, including Tim Grover, the renowned trainer of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Dwayne Wade. As people were introducing themselves to him, I was just chilling back to not bombard him. I heard that inner-voice say, “Get up and introduce yourself.” I listened. I introduced myself to him, expressing my admiration and disappointment about missing his speech due to my setup schedule. He reassured me, saying I could stay for a bit and still manage the setup. During our conversation, Mr. Grover noticed my Jordan 1’s and we bonded over it. The crazy thing is, I was originally going to wear my Blazers, but that voice said wear the J’s. I mentioned I was the DJ for the event and a producer, and he requested I play one of my tracks for his entrance. Excited, I spent the night before show day selecting the perfect beat. On show day, Mr. Grover encouraged me to let my track rock during his entrance, which turned out to be a monumental moment for me. I hit play and Mr. Ray introduces him and he comes out. You can see in the video he went above and beyond for your boy. His enthusiastic support for my music made me realize the importance of creating music that makes people feel something. If you listen toward the end he tells the crowd to “Feel it!”. I almost cried! lol That’s all I want my music to do. Be felt! That’s it! I was so excited I completely forgot about being able to stay for the speech. Lol I tore down as we talked about before meeting Mr. Grover. lol I was so high from this moment! This experience reignited the fire in me to produce music again! Thank you Mr. Grover! 💪
