It's is with heavy hearts that I am announcing that the owners in Nebraska, of Star Country and KRLN have made the choice to close down our beloved radio stations beginning January 1st. The staff here at Star Country and KRLN are grateful for the years of dedication from all of our amazing clients who have made our local radio possible. To our listeners, we thank you for dedicating that radio dial to our stations for what seems like a lifetime. Star Country and KRLN are staples in this community, and it will forever be a part of each and every one of our lives. We cannot thank you enough, and we are sorry to be bringing this news. The staff has tried so hard for so long to make changes and keep things going and up to date with the times, knowing if we didn't, this would happen. The changes in 2025 will definitely be just that, but with change comes new opportunities.

I-25 is a hot mess near Monument CO. NB 25 closed. Everyone being forced to take exit 158 and get back on further north. SB is down to far right lane.

Avoid if at all possible. 83 is a better option.

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, including dangerous lightning, the Canon City Police Dept has decided to CANCEL the National Night Out event this evening at Macon Plaza. It was a difficult decision, but we wanted to err on the side of safety. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We still encourage you to get to know your neighbors, take precautions to keep yourselves and your property safe and report any suspicious activity. STAY SAFE!
