My friend Shaun Penechar, from Seüf Guitars (Fountain City Guitarworks), is trying out the Somnium Ge preamp/mid-boost. He's adding some warm texture while in preamp mode.Notice the glassy clean-up that happens when he rolls back the volume. One of the things I admire about Ken Fischer is that, instead of using serial numbers, he named each amp, emphasizing its unique individuality as a handcrafted piece of art. Rather than using feminine names, I’ve started to name my amps and pedals after stars in the universe. I hope that this shows my appreciation of Ken Fischer and Astrophysics/astronomy.

Pictured above is a Somnium Ge named Gudja, a fire patina process has been done to the enclosure imbueing an “I’ve got to get home” feel. The chaotic and unpredictable nature of the fire patina process also lends to the individual charachter of Gudja.

Gudja will be available at the in Chicago next week. If you won’t be attending the Summit contact me to place a fire patina or standard finish Somnium Ge on reserve for batch 3.
