Whispers of Winter

In the quiet breath of dawn,
a snowman stands—still,
a sentinel of fleeting frost,
wrapped in a scarf
woven with the language of snowflakes.

His eyes, black as the secrets of midnight,
gaze into a world where winter lingers,
soft and slow,
painting silence on every branch.

The carrot nose points to a sky
brushed with amber and lilac hues,
a horizon where the sun and snow
waltz in cold harmony.

He listens to the whispers of winter,
carried on a breeze
that cradles the pine trees,
their boughs heavy with the weight of dreams
frozen in time.

Yet he knows, beneath this frosted veil,
the earth hums a song of thawing,
a quiet promise of spring,
and though he stands eternal now,
he too will drift away,
softly, into the arms of the sun.
