Optional 5 PM departure on bicycles from the northern tip of Lake Merritt/ Pergola / Colonades / 599 El Embarcadero. Lap the lake together. Our indie doc made in Cuba tells of Havana bicycle communities today. It's been 20 years since over 1 million Chinese bicycles were imported to aid survival on an island suddenly without Soviet petroleum. Rodando premiered at the Havana Film Festival, Dec 2015. (29 minutes. Spanish with English subs)

The New Parkway evening also features a screening of Velorution: One City's Solution to the Automobile (1996, 28 min. Charles Phred Churchill and Bruce Petschek) and a post-film discussion with Rodando's associate director, Jennifer Ruth Hosek
