Good morning everyone! I expect another clipper system to move across our area overnight tonight. I can’t rule out some stray snow showers later this afternoon, but the majority of the snow will fall tonight. I’m expecting snow totals of 3-5 inches with the snow moving out by tomorrow morning.

Monday morning will bring in some cold weather. Windchills will be near -30 so make sure to dress accordingly!

A winter storm is forecast to bring widespread accumulating snow to the region Wednesday night through Thursday. A band of 4-7 inches of snow is expected to fall from western Minnesota to central Minnesota into west-central Wisconsin. Lesser snowfall amounts will occur to the south and west of the band. Strong winds will also cause blowing snow and potentially reduced visibilities, especially across western and southwestern Minnesota.

Good afternoon everyone, I wanted to make a post about the potential for snow on Thursday. I will start out by saying I'm not confident that we'll see much snow. Usually with clipper systems dry air becomes a factor that effects the total amount of snow. Here's what I think with current model trends.

Timing: Snow starting late Wednesday Night. Lasting until Thursday evening.
Snow totals: 1-3 inches.

Good morning everybody and happy Halloween. Just wanted to post update about the snow potential today. Looks like the transition from rain to snow will happen within the next two hours. Models are putting us in the range of 3 to 6 inches of snow, with that being said we won’t see that much accumulation. I would just keep an eye out for snow on grassy areas. Looks like the snow will be moving out just in time for trick-or-treating this evening.

🎃👻 Halloween Weather Update: A Trick and a Treat?! ❄️☃️

Well, folks, it looks like Halloween might be serving up a surprise this year... and it's not just the candy! 🍬 We're talking about the potential for accumulating snow – yes, SNOW – tomorrow! But the exact timing of the switch from rain to snow is still a bit of a mystery.

Accumulation: If the conditions align just right, we could see several inches of accumulation, especially on grassy areas

Impacts: Travel could become tricky, especially for trick-or-treaters.

Stay tuned for further updates as we get closer to Halloween! I'll be monitoring the forecast closely and keeping you informed. In the meantime, keep those costumes ready... and maybe add a warm layer or a waterproof boot just in case!

🎃👻 Halloween Weather Update! ❄️☃️

Hold onto your witch hats, folks! While you're busy prepping costumes and candy, the weather models seem to be brewing up a spooky surprise... a chance of snow flurries on Halloween morning?!

For now, let's just say it's a very slight possibility, but something to watch. Those mischievous weather models are just starting to hint at a transition from rain to snow, halloween morning. In the meantime, keep those costumes ready, and maybe dig out a scarf and gloves... just in case! 😉
