The day of the trip arrives, and at the airport, everything seems fine. But as we're heading to the check-in counter, MIL leans in and hisses, "Give me $600 right now, or I'll tell the airline I lost your little rascals' tickets. This is a family trip, and they ARE NOT."

I'm honestly in shock. I just went to my MIL's house, and what do I see? A giant Christmas tree she spent hours decorating with ornaments and lights!

She's 70 YEARS OLD! When I asked her why, she said, "It reminds me of my childhood, decorating the tree with my mom before she passed away." Seriously? At her age, she should be focused on her grandkids, not stuck in the past wasting time on a pointless tree.

I VISITED MY HUSBAND'S UNIVERSITY CLASS, BUT WHEN I SAW MY FACE ON HIS LECTURE SLIDE, I KNEW OUR MARRIAGE WAS RUINED.

My husband is a psychology professor at a local university and can be quite forgetful at times. One morning, he accidentally left his lunch at home again, so I decided to be nice and hand-deliver it to his class since I was free that day.

When I arrived at the university and found the right auditorium, his lecture was still going, so I thought it would be fun to listen to a part of it. I sneaked in and sat at the very back. He was talking about some sort of psychological experiment, showing slides of various studies.

Then he said, "To prove the point, I recreated the experiment on my wife..."

My blood froze when I saw my own face show up on the slide with some characteristics written out underneath the photo.

"Our subject, Janet, has an average IQ and the social awareness of a teenage girl. So testing this theory on her was not a hard task. Take a second to look at this video of her, and then we will discuss it."

MY IN-LAWS KICKED ME AND MY NEWBORN OUT OF THE HOUSE — THEY REGRETTED IT SOON AFTERWARD.

I live in a house with my husband, our little baby, and my in-laws. Every single day, my in-laws have these huge, loud fights that just never end. Yesterday, while my baby was napping, I could hear them yelling downstairs even with our door shut.

During a brief moment of silence, I calmly said, "Hey, just so you know, the baby's sleeping," and then walked away. A few minutes later, I heard my FIL cursing my name, saying something about "my house" to my MIL.

Then he stormed up to me, still furious, and snapped, "Just so you know, you don't shush me in my own home. This is my house. I gave my son the money to buy it, so you don't get to tell me what to do. If you think you're so smart, go live with your mom where it's comfy and quiet. Maybe when my son's back from his business trip, he'll think about letting you come back."

I was totally shocked and couldn't get a word out. My FIL just stood there, watching as I packed up my stuff and the baby's, and left for my mom's place. But here's the kicker: a couple of days later, the doorbell at my in-laws' house rang.
