California City has a new gathering spot, Raven's Nest Cafe held an official ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening today at 8209 California City Blvd., Suites 109 and 110 (the former site of Emerald Cafe). Local "I Love Cal City" boosters the Vasquez family are the owner/operators. The business will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. six days a week - closed on Sundays. Menu items include coffees and teas as well as sandwiches, scones, cookies and soups.
