From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday Apr 6, the Ark Spring Baptist Church will have a Baptism and Worship service at the Field House Family Fitness Center located at 300 Sunrise Center in Zanesville. Following the service, there will be a potluck meal and a pool party. There will not be any services at the Ark Spring Church that day.
At 8 a.m. on Sunday April 20, a traditional Easter Sunrise Service will take place at the Ark Spring Baptist Church. Following the service there will be breakfast and an Easter egg hunt. Morning Worship will begin at 10 a.m. (Please note this is half an hour earlier than usual.)
The church is located on Big Muskie Drive (SR 284) south of Chandlersville, near The Wilds.

At 10:30 a.m. on Sunday Apr 13, a Palm Sunday Service will be held at the Cumberland Methodist Church.
At 7 p.m. on Thursday Apr 17, a Maundy Thursday Service will be held at the Cumberland Methodist Church.
At 7:30 a.m. on Sunday Apr 20, an Easter Sunrise Service will take place at the Cumberland Methodist Church. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. with the Easter worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The church is located at the intersection of Main and Cambridge Streets (SR’s 146 & 340) in Cumberland.

At 6 p.m. on Wednesday Apr 16, there will a covered dish dinner at the Presbyterian Church in Cumberland. The program will be presented by Tim Berger and the congregation of the High Hill Presbyterian Church. The program will be “Christ in the Passover.” It will explain foods eaten at the Passover and their meanings.
Regular 9 a.m. morning worship services will take place at the Presbyterian Church on Palm Sunday (Apr 13) and Easter Sunday (Apr 20).
The Presbyterian Church in Cumberland is located at the intersection of Main and Church Streets (SR’s 146 & 83).

Public Vet Coming
Spay/Neuter clinics for all cats and kittens over six weeks, also pregnant and nursing cats, on April 12 and April 13 in Old Washingson. Cats from any county are welcome. Cost is $100/cat. Includes surgery, tattoo and pain meds.
Guernsey County residents: If needed, a discount of $40 can be requested the day of the clinic. Just ask when you get there.

There is a $10 deposit to register per cat. It goes toward your $100.
Vaccines and other services available. See website for pricing. Bring your cat in sturdy, clean carrier or humaine trap. Same day service. You’ll drop off and pick up at designated times. No walk-ins.

Trustees Eric Poland, Brad West, and Mark Roberts along with Fiscal Office Darlene Miser were present at the February Spencer Township meeting. Bills in the amount of $60,652.67 were presented and approved for payment. Correspondence included the Ohio Township Magazine and Grassroots Clippings Legislative Alerts.
The Trustees discussed the chip and seal bid project and priority roads. They discussed purchasing more cinders. They made plans to fill pot holes and do other road maintenance.
The SEOJSWMD’s recycling trailer is next scheduled to be at the former Spencer Township property on Mill Street in Cumberland from Friday, March 21 through Sunday, March 23. There were no arrival or departure times listed. Please do not place trash in the trailer or leave items on the ground next to the trailer. The recycling trailer’s schedule is subject to change. Recycling trailers will not be placed at the site during a Level 2 and Level 3 Snow Emergencies.

GMN Head Start/Early Head Start is accepting applications for the following position:

Disabilities/Mental Health Manager - Caldwell
Starting hourly wage: $20.46 per hour
40 Hours per week
46-52 Weeks per year


Major Responsibilities:
Oversee Disabilities and Mental Health Components of Head Start Preschool and Early Head Start Programs, coordinate and carry out staff wellness for both programs and supervise a Center Director.

Good computer, communication and writing skills are a must.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Special Education with a focus on Early Childhood or Bachelor Degree in Mental Health Services.

Experience working with young children (birth to five years), their families and pregnant women is a plus.
