Over the last almost 30 years, we have successfully marketed and licensed over three hundred feature films as well as television series throughout the world in all media with stars such as Ben Affleck, Sean Penn, Tobey Maguire, Robert Downey, Jr., John Malkovich, Edward Burns, Debra Messing, Kiefer Sutherland, Benecio Del Toro, Lorraine Bracco, Christopher Walken, Colin Firth, John Favreau, Stanley Tucci, Matt LeBlanc, Jeff Daniels and many more. Our worldwide clients include Columbia/Tristar, Disney/Buena Vista, MGM, New Line, Lionsgate, HBO, Showtime, Sony Pictures International, Lifetime, Oxygen, the Sy Fy Channel, Village Roadshow, Endemol, Nordisk Film, 20th Century Fox, BBC, British Sky Broadcasting, TF1, Canal +, RTL, ZDF, Pro Sieben, Antena 3, Mediaset, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon,Turner and Cartoon Network, among others. Our television series "Flight 29 Down" (deemed "Lost for Kids") was produced with Discovery Kids/ The Hub and aired on NBC in the U.S. The show was licensed to major broadcasters throughout the world and Turner/Cartoon Network launched their Boomerang channel in Latin America with it. Our series, "The Wannabes" premiered on Starz Family in the U.S. and has been licensed throughout the world as well, becoming HBO Family Latin America's number one show. In addition, our animated series "Ape Escape" was based on the Sony PlayStation game and aired on NickToons (Nickelodeon). Features such as "Contest," "Her Best Move," "The Adventures of Food Boy" and "Labou," and teen stars such as Vanessa Marano, Meghan Martin, Rowan Blanchard, Debby Ryan, Kenton Duty, Landry Bender, Kyle Massey, Lucas Gabreel, Brittney Curran, Corbin Bleu, Katherine McNamara and Katharine McPhee round out the family product. David Jackson and Shauna Shapiro Jackson were previously the co-founders of the worldwide distribution company Curb/Esquire Films (now Curb Communications), where they were partners with music mogul Mike Curb and served as President and Executive Vice President, respectively. Further, they served as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Production and Acquisitions, respectively, of Curb/Musifilm whose partners included Universal Pictures. Amongst other things, Curb/Musifilm developed and co produced "s*x, lies and videotape," which won the Cannes Film Festival for Best Picture (the Palme D'Or). Jackson and Shapiro Jackson have also been involved in production for the past 25 years. They began their careers by producing several films for RCA/Columbia with Morgan Mason ("s*x, lies and Videotape"), John Hardy ("Ocean's Eleven," "Eric Brockovich") and Jason Clark ("Ted," "Stuart Little"). Most recently, they produced "You May Not Kiss The Bride," starring Katharine McPhee, Rob Schneider, Kathy Bates, Mena Suvari, Dave Annable and Vinnie Jones; Executive Produced "Flight 29 Down"and "Ape Escape," and were instrumental in helping the producers of "The Wannabes" get the series made. Further, both Jackson and Shapiro Jackson are attorneys specializing in the area of entertainment. Jackson served as an attorney at Capitol Records and was recruited by MCA Records where he served as Vice President of Business Affairs. Thereafter, Jackson went into the private practice of law where he represented recording artists, record and film producers and film distribution companies. Shapiro Jackson began her career as an in house attorney for a production/distribution company where she dealt in all aspects of film production and distribution, and where she first established her strong relationships in the international film community. At the SC Group, acquisitions are helmed by Cara Shapiro, who has been with the company virtually since its inception and has been responsible for acquiring many of the company’s top selling features. Gayle Sherman Ho**er, Director of Acquisitions, comes from the world of production and development having worked with such producers as Sherry Lansing and Academy Award winning director William Friedkin. Co-Director of Acquisitions, Lori Doherty Bee comes from the production world ("S*x & the City," "Entourage," "Shameless"). Tammy Apana works in development and production for the SC Group and she brings over 20 years of production experience to the table, having worked with various studios such as Sony, Universal and MGM. Linda Paolucci, Director of Sales Administration and Market Coordinator, has been with our team for the past 12 years and coordinates all matters relating to each film and television market. Industry veteran Paula Marshall heads the finance and worldwide collections department. Music industry veterans Barbara Gingrich Spiegel and Katie Stephenson Dodson head Showcase’s newly formed Reality/Factual Entertainment division. Katie Stephenson Dodson is in our Nashville affiliate office. We believe that knowing the market and what the buyers are looking for are key elements in producing and distributing successful programming with worldwide appeal. We attribute our success in attracting quality product to our strong international relationships, our aggressive salesmanship and our creative marking abilities. Most recently, the SC Group joined forces with a Sony owned company whose industry leading technology and operations in more than 29 global markets will allow SC Global to handle comprehensive digital distribution for its newly formed music and audio division, and the worldwide digital distribution, marketing, technology, media encoding, and metadata management of its filmed content.
