According to multiple reports..Jake E. Lee is recovering after a random shooting in Las Vegas Tuesday while walking his dog. The guitarist, who emerged quickly in popularity when we joined Ozzy Osborne’s band, later formed Badlands with the late Ray Gillen, before stepping away from the music industry. He would eventually return after two decades away from music to form his band Red Dragon Cartel. Jake is expected to make a full recovery. Lee appeared on Ozzy’s “Bark At The Moon” and “Ultimate Sin” albums.

Best wishes to rocker Doug Aldrich, who has been diagnosed with (a treatable) form of throat cancer. He will undergo surgery and will be forced to miss the European portion of the Dead Daisies tour in support of their new album, which sees the return of vocalist John Corabi. Long-time Whitesnake band mate Reb Beach will fill in for Doug.
