You Press is a social enterprise based in London working with young artists to bring attention to voices not often heard in the public sphere.

You Press is a social enterprise that supports young writers, musicians and poets to promote their opinions and poetry to the local, national and international press. We believe in the power of words and stories to change lives for the better. Projects have included working with homeless people, 'Voices of Redemption' (with young ex-offenders) and 'I Remember Srebrenica' (a response to the Bosnian genocide of 1995).

With full and adoring hearts, we said goodbye to our Creativity and Operations manager Ridwan at You Press this summer. Her journey with You Press can not be contained in this post, so we will speak to the impact she has left!

From a passionate and dedicated volunteer who grew into an ever encouraging and creative manager, she supported hundreds of young people (locally, nationally and internationally). Wishing you all the best in your new and exciting adventures. We won't know what to do with all this coffee in the office now!

In honour of positive thinking day, we are sharing an amazing poster made by one of our ASPIRE participants. The amazing Tyler made this graphic design poster for his social action campaign project on mental health awareness.

This a reminder that positive thinking means taking the good with the bad. Balanced thinking involves acknowledging and addressing difficulties while also finding constructive ways to maintain hope and motivation. It’s important to validate one’s feelings, seek appropriate support, and take practical steps toward improvement, rather than just focusing on a positive outlook. Remember to reach out to your loved ones, and organisations for support.
