This afternoon Coach Rod Thompson was recognized by many of his former players, the current baseball team and current coaches Casey Pace and Tom Dempsey!

Coach Thompson managed the Eagles baseball team for 16 seasons, starting back in 2008, and concluding last year. His teams finished top 8 in the state for 12 out of 16 years, and won 7 district titles. Thompson compiled a record of 144 wins and 95 losses. He led his team to Stratton’s first ever State Baseball Championship in 2010 and then went on to 3-peat with State Championship wins in 2011 and 2012.

Thank you Rod for your 16 years of service to Stratton Schools and all the memories made along the way!

Daxton Skarpohl threw a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts, and Rowdy Humrich had two hits and two runs scored for Burlington in an 8-0 win over Stratton. Von Isenbart had two of the hits for the Eagles, and Trevor Moore collected the third.

Burlington came out and played five runs in the first inning and never looked back, beating Calhan 11-1. Lenny Ramirez gave up one earned run in 5 innings and struck out 12. Zack Foose had two hits, including a two-run double, and scored two runs.
