Just a little bit about the beginning.
Started in March of 2019 show host Todd Davis had a vision to bring good time Southern Gospel Music to the local airwaves of Alamance County in North Carolina. Todd approached WBAG Station owner Joe Gray with a rough demo of the show and the sales pitch to bring the 30 minute show of Country, Blue Grass and Southern Gospel music. The show was put on the Sunday morning schedule before the first song had ended, Joe asked one of the most important questions “What’s the name” Todd replied with the first thing he could think of “Southern Gospel” However just a few weeks later it was changed to “The Down Home Gospel Show” which as Todd say it has that old time feeling like you are in the mountains or out in the country. In December of 2019 the show became an official member of the Gospel Music Association and Singing World.
