🏆 Instagram has rolled out NEW features that are so necessary to pay attention to! Remember, social media platforms make updates for the user for a REASON.

- New fonts & effects on stories shows that Instagram is pushing creativity. Instagram wants you to use the story feature but it also wants you to be creative in creating that, but, it wants you to do that ON THE PLATFORM. (That's a theme 😉)

- Ability to edit photo posts directly in app: We've always been able to add a filter on IG, but now you are able to layer another photo directly in the app. Normally you would have to use Canva or Capcut or another platform to do this. This is another clue that Instagram is encouraging you to use its platform for everything.

- Ability to add up to 20 slides to a post rather than 10! CAROUSEL POSTS ARE KILLING IT and this is just another confirmation of that. Start making them, NOW!

-BONUS insight: Instagram is testing a vertical feed rather than a square feed. This is showing Instagram may be seeing it's future as video... Thoughts?

Here are the top 3 digital marketing resources that will exponentially improve your business’ online presence:

• marketing blog. This is an email you will not want to skip when it pops up in your inbox. Every single one has immense value- I learn something every time!

• Sign up for Google alerts for digital marketing keywords like social media marketing, SEO, etc to keep up with what’s being published about them and the current trends so you can adapt quickly.

• Follow the social media platforms & sign up for their alerts! Much like Google, which you should do the same for, they often tell you what they want you to do. Sometimes they’re cryptic which is why people hire social media managers and SEO specialists to decode and keep up with this stuff, but if you have the time, keep in the loop with what they’re publishing and LISTEN! 👂
