WVBS 1470 AM is a local church ministry of Bible Baptist Church and is an affiliate of the Fundamental Broadcasting Network (FBN).

WVBS is supported by the prayers and love gifts of its listeners. Bible Baptist Church purchased WVBS 1470 AM Radio Station on June 8, 1994, to broadcast fundamental preaching and music throughout the Pender County area. The original goal for the radio station still governs today's selection of programming. WVBS is an affiliate of FBN, Fundamental Broadcasting Network; listeners can depend upon qu

ality programs that uplift and teach. Live broadcasts from Bible Baptist Church include the adult Sunday School class at 10:00 AM, Sunday morning worship service at 11:00 AM, the Sunday evening worship service at 7:00 PM, and the Wednesday evening prayer service at 7:30 PM.

TO ALL OF YOU WVBS LISTENERS OUT THERE, IT SADDENS MY HEART TO INFORM YOU THAT THIS RADIO STATION (1470) HAS BEEN TAKEN OFF OF THE AIR. THE POWER PLUG HAS BEEN PULLED. THIS BREAKS MY HEART. I KNOW THAT THERE WERE A LOT OF FOLKS OUT THERE IN RADIO LAND WHO LISTENED TO THIS STATION. ONLY GOD KNOWS HOW MANY FOLKS WHO WERE BLESSED BY THIS STATION. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT OVER THE YEARS. YOU CAN STILL HEAR THE SAME BROADCAST ON 90.7 FM 24/7. MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU, DONALD SHIELDS, FORMER STATION MANAGER.
