If you are a writer, between the ages of 18-27, and have been feeling the emotional weight of ICE raids, xenophobia, or the stories you carry from home… you’re not alone and we want to help you creatively.

In this one-time workshop, we’ll gently explore Warsan Shire’s poem “Home” which is a powerful piece that speaks to migration, displacement, and the layered realities of migration, identity, and belonging. We’ll talk about why certain lines hit so deeply and how they echo our own lived experiences.

Through writing and art, you’ll have space to process what your body has been holding…

This workshop is led by former journalist and therapist Silvana Lezama

: Texas cannot use a new congressional map drawn by Republicans in hopes of securing the party additional U.S. House seats, a panel of three federal judges ruled Tuesday.
