Today’s panel with was so important. We focused on accessibility, mental health coverage via CoveredCA, how to find an insurance provider via the Latinx Therapy Directory and how to cope with stress.

The first panel featured Yaya, program lead at .la who shared how important it is for the Q***r and Trans community to have centers that are affirming and represent them.

In the second panel, shared about his mental health journey and his recent film available on so many streaming platforms: Dear Luke, Love, Me. Please check it out and support!

Grateful for being selected to be on this panel alongside with Dr. Jeffrey Reynoso, our moderator!

PS- the man who mic’d me up, told me he remembered me from 2 other segments I’ve done for KCAL and ABC + Good Morning America. We spoke afterwards because I shared on live about being a teen parent. Actually, quite a few people came up to me and told me how proud they were of me and how a child of theirs was also a young single parent. Sharing our stories heal.

In this one-time workshop, we’ll gently explore Warsan Shire’s poem “Home” which is a powerful piece that speaks to migration, displacement, and the layered realities of migration, identity, and belonging. We’ll talk about why certain lines hit so deeply and how they echo our own lived experiences.
