Call for at Highmark Stadium!

Call for work – the Public Art Program at Highmark Stadium!

The Public Art Program seeks to commission professional visual artists, or artist teams, to create site-specific public artwork at Highmark Stadium. The artwork imagery should embody a moment(s) in Buffalo Bills football history, “about” Buffalo, NY, local landmarks, fan engagement, traditions, and/or other meaningful representations.
Over three separate Calls for Artists, the Buffalo Bills Public Art Program will seek sculptural ceiling art, murals, and wall-based artworks of various sizes and budgets to be curated on multiple stadium levels.
Highmark Stadium will open in 2026. The chosen artworks will be installed prior to that date in various timelines based on the location and complexity of the installation. The Calls for Artists will be issued February-March 2025 and posted online.

UPDATE !! Good news! If you weren't able to attend the Mulligans event on Sat., The Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY has a limited # of bricks for sale and can even be shipped! Click here to order: https://rmhcwny.networkforgood.com/projects/245881-mulligan-s-brick-bar-bricks

For those of you that wished you had a chance to take 1 last picture in front of Mulligan's , wish granted! On Sat Feb 1st from 6-9 please join us at the Buffalo Auto Show for Mulligan's night and grab a free picture in front of a "life sized" picture of the building.

Fun fact; The Brick Bar was the first bar in WNY to have a DJ with turntables. In 1973 Marty Angelo convinced Michael Militello to let him bring 2 speakers from a band he was managing (Raven & The Grass Roots)and 2 "turntables" to play records replacing the "jukebox". He set up in the kitchen and the rest is history, making the Brick bar the first Disco in Buffalo !

“I realized the movie is a little bit like spending any random night at Mohawk—you get to hang out, you get to catch different bands—maybe you're gonna wait for the third one because the first two were s**t, or whatever,” filmmaker Mike Sobieraj recollects in our recent interview. The director of "Bring Me Your Vultures" captured the last weeks before the club first closed in 2013—a moment in Buffalo’s music history that feels especially resonant as the venue prepares to close for good this Friday.

Tucked away on a downtown side street, Mohawk Place has hosted countless live shows since 1990. Thousands of artists have performed at the club, including, quite infamously, The White Stripes
