2024 Powerlifting America Winter Classic. 📸

Our vision to make Buffalo, NY a destination for our sport and regional hub for Powerlifting America is slowly but surely coming to fruition. At our last two events, nearly 80% of the registered athletes were from outside of the Buffalo Niagara Region, and this past event from last weekend featured 4 National Team athletes all coming in from out of town to not only participate in the event itself but also to be a part of this community, even just for the day.

Thank you News 4 WIVB Buffalo for stopping by our event to capture some of the moments but also for the opportunity to share more about our sport and its athletes with our city and community, and please stay tuned for our Winter Classic coming up on January 20 and the New York State Championship coming up on April 20!

Our official launch and press conference four years ago today!

Posted • What a great trip to Thailand we’ve had! Staying at the beautiful resort in Katathani, then conducting a camp and seminars on nutrition and training with . Today we capped it off with the press conference announcing the Thai Powerlifting Federation, Thailand’s new affiliate for drug free high level powerlifting competition.🎉👌🏾
It was a packed house as well over a dozen media crews attended to cover the event. 🎥
Layne and I were honored guests as ambassadors for the TPF and helped explain the sport of powerlifting to the Thai media, with the help of the founders .events and who did a fantastic job translating for the media.
There was also an AWESOME show put on by who demonstrated the the powerlifts for the Thai media while Layne explained the rules... of course Layne didn’t mind talking to fill in the ‘gaps’ while rob warmed up, talking is Layne’s super power 😜😂 (in addition to many other things 😘). What an honor it is to play a small, positive role in spread of drug free sport all over the world.
We can’t wait to come back and attend a meet here in Thailand!

Our official launch and press conference four years ago today.

What a week. got the relaxing time we needed at a resort that was beyond comparison in (shout out to for being amazing) and then did a kick ass camp and seminars for .events who absolutely killed it. If any other presenters ever get the chance to work with John and his team at JCW they are absolute first rate. Not only that but today Holly and I got to be involved with the launching of the Thai Powerlifting Federation (TPF), the newest affiliate for Today we were honored ambassadors for the TPF and fielded questions about the sport of powerlifting from the Thai media who showed up in force... a packed room. I never imagined I could travel the world talking about my passion (nutrition and training) and also help further the reach of the sports I love, drug free Powerlifting and bodybuilding (not to mention with an awesome partner). Huge shoutout to John and his team at JCW for making drug free Powerlifting in Thailand happen. Further, thank you to who did a great job promoting and translating to the Thai media. I was really impressed with him, speaks fluent Thai, very smart, and hilarious. also was a huge help, demonstrating the competition lifts to the Thai media while Mark and I answered questions about the rules. The TPF will hold their first meet in January of 2019, don’t miss it.
