📍 Watson Lake, Prescott AZ This was the most beautiful place for an evening sunset hike with the kids 🥾 ✨ Save this for your next adventure! We were on Flume Trail and Watson Lake but we did not complete it. We just explored around and sat and watched the sunset. You can find the trail on @alltrails Warning this is a very rocky trail and area, so be comfortable climbing on the rocks with your littles. We felt totally safe, it’s just a lot of rock scrambling. Hiking season in Phoenix is the best! 🥾 ☀️ ✨First, save these 3 trails for great family hikes in the valley! 1. Butcher Jones Trail at Saguaro Lake, Mesa Arizona 🅿️ Parking fee is $12 at kiosk, or use America the Beautiful Pass 🚽 Bathrooms at trailhead ☀️ They have a beach/lake for swimming and playing 🥾 The trail is over 5 miles but it’s out & back so you can hike to where ever you’re comfortable with your kids and turn around, we went in about a mile and still loved the trail and the views! 2. Wild Burro Trail, Lake Pleasant, Peoria Arizona 🥾 3 mile out and back 🫏 Look out for Wild Burro! They are everywhere in this area ☀️ Beautiful views of the lake, and areas to stop and play 🚽 Bathrooms at the trailhead 🅿️ $7 per vehicle for entrance 3. Lake Overlook Trail, Fountain Hills Arizona 🥾 1.8 mile loop 🅿️ Free parking 🚽 Bathrooms at the start, at the park 💦 Gorgeous views of the 4th largest fountain in the world! All 3 trails can be found on AllTrails and we highly recommend using it to navigate all hiking trails for safety. @alltrails New here? We loved our weekend getaway to the White Mountains! @rockyrimresort ✨ Save this post for your next affordable family getaway idea! We enjoyed most of our time in our cozy cabin and taking in the fresh mountain air & views ⛰️ The cabin sleeps 6, is fully stocked, has wifi, & even has a washer/dryer (hi, parents 🙋‍♀️😂) There is a grill, firepit, spacious deck & splash pad to enjoy the outdoors 🌲 This area is heaven if you ride ATV’s! There’s soo many places and trails! We hiked two nearby trails that we loved: 🥾 Pictograph trail - less than a mile and leads to ancient pictographs in the rocks 🥾 Pine Loop Trail - 1.3 mile long loop through the forest, so peaceful with amazing views There are local restaurants, cafe’s, markets and shops right near the resort New here? Can we say the best of both worlds? 😍 Glamping at Backland in Williams, Arizona should be a top adventure on your list! @travelbackland Enjoy their luxury tents with full bathrooms & comfy king size bed 😴 The views are incredible and the fresh pine forest air is so rejuvenating 🌲 They have a lobby with coffee, games, full restaurant and free breakfast every morning 🥐 All tents also have AC/Heat so you can make it the perfect temperature. Reading a book, playing board games with our kids, kayaking & spotting wildlife were the highlights of our trip. We had the best weekend getaway full of relaxation, quality family time and nature therapy ✨ Save this video to steal our itinerary! We left early Friday and went straight to the trailhead. We did the Seven Sacred Pools trail which is only about a mile with the most spectacular views! Then we checked into @lasposadasofsedona and got comfortable! Our suite was beautiful. They thought of every single detail to make us and our kids feel welcomed. They left a s’mores kit, and cookies & milk by the fireplace! 🫶 We ate dinner in our room, mom enjoyed the deep soaking tub and we played board games together. Our mornings were spent at their base camp enjoying their breakfast, the chefs were incredible! So yummy and the environment is warm & cozy. We also spent time on the meditation deck and our balcony, soaking in the views and watching wildlife. We seen coyotes, Blue Jay’s, Cardinals and other cool birds. Saturday we spent our morning & early afternoon enjoying Las Posadas. We played games in the courtyard, we enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. Me and Aviana did our first ever cold plunge to heal these muscles from all that hiking! We did a sunset hike just down the road, the Yavapai Vista Trail. Less than a mile long trail and had gorgeous views. Great backdrop for photos! We grabbed dinner Saturday at Jay Birds chicken. Then went back to roast marshmallows and play more board games in our room. Sunday before leaving town we did the Birthing Cave trail and it was the perfect ending to our weekend.
