🐿️ Did you know that it’s ? These furry creatures are fun to watch, and they play an integral role in maintaining the health of forests through their tendency to move around heavy tree seeds. Unfortunately, they are also one of the top causes of power outages in the United States. ⚡️ Hopefully, they’ll heed our warning and think before they chew.

It’s Great to live in a Public Power Community!

As a resident of Bryan, you receive your electricity from a publicly-owned utility. You are part of the long tradition of public power in the United States. At its heart, “public power” expresses the American ideal of local people working together to meet local needs. Citizens in governance roles join city employees to provide electricity to every home and business safely and responsively on a not-for-profit basis.

UPDATE on Hurricane Helene and now Hurricane Milton...

So BMU Linemen JJ Rupp and Derick Wyrick answered the call and are traveling south to lend a hand. We will have an update and pictures later this week.

Please take a minute to wish JJ and Derick the best and a safe return to Ohio. ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
