On February 6, 2025, Defendant Abdul Bridgefourth was sentenced to 46 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections in Hendricks County Superior Court 5. In May 2023, the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office investigated a disclosure made by a very young child who shared that she was being sexually abused by family friend, Mr. Bridgefourth. A forensic interview of the child was conducted at Susie's Place Child Advocacy Center where the child disclosed many acts of sexual abuse at the hands of the Defendant from the ages of 4 to 6. A subsequent search warrant executed on the Defendant's phone revealed hundreds of images of Child Sexual Abuse Material of children ranging from 10 years of age down to infancy. Mr. Bridgefourth pled guilty to two (2) counts of Child Molesting and one (1) count of Possession of Child Po*******hy. He was found by the court to be a Sexually Violent Predator and is also a Credit Restricted Felon. In consideration for his plea, the sentence was argued to the Court.

"The State is indebted to this child for her bravery and fortitude during the legal process. We are also grateful to the Court for a sentence that reflects the severity of the Defendant’s actions. Cases involving Child Sexual Abuse Material always underscore the sad reality that not only was the child with whom Mr. Bridgefourth had direct contact victimized but dozens of other children were victimized in order to produce the material found on the Defendant's cell phone. Cases such as this are the reason we are thankful for our Law Enforcement who show such thorough perseverance in their investigations, and we are confident that Mr. Bridgefourth's sentence reflects Hendricks County's continued commitment to keep our most vulnerable citizens safe." -Christine Archer, Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney who handled the case.

🚨Public Service Announcement🚨

If you are in a building and the fire alarm system activates, immediately evacuate the premises. Do not ignore the alarm, do not continue shopping, or carry on with your business. Fire alarms are in place to ensure your safety, and it is critical to respond quickly and calmly. Allow the Brownsburg Fire Territory to investigate and ensure that there is no emergency at the location.

Follow these steps:

🔥Exit the building safely and quickly.

🔥Use the nearest exit and avoid elevators.

🔥Do not delay. Grab your personal belongings, leave what’s in your shopping cart, and exit the building.

🔥Assist others if possible. Help those who may need assistance, but do not return inside once you have evacuated.

🔥Move to a designated safe area away from the building to allow emergency responders to do their work.

Your safety is our priority. Stay alert, follow the rules, and take action when the alarm sounds!
