Wine Country Network Announces 2024 Global Whisky Challenge Winners
Lagg Distillery Scotland wins "Best of Show" with Corriecravie Edition Sherry Cask Single Malt

BROOMFIELD, CO, USA - Whisky Mogul Media, a division of Wine Country Network, Inc., the publisher of Wine Country International® Magazine, and a global leader in producing professional beverage competitions, has announced the winners of the 2024 Global Whisky Challenge.

The Global Whisky Challenge is the world's first competition to evaluate whiskies made within three geographical regions. "To do this right, we sliced the world into three sections. We conducted three regionalized competitions in Denver in June. We took the nine highest-scored Double Gold winners to New York City where our senior judges re-tasted, re-evaluated, and painstakingly selected the 2024 Global Whisky Champions," explains Wine Country Network CEO and Co-Founder Christopher J Davies.

2024 Global Whisky Challenge-Day One
Our first day of judging has concluded. The judges have evaluated 60% of the entries. Whisky from Ireland, Scotland, and France have shown great promise.

Our esteemed founders, along with guest senior judge John Lamond of Scotland and SR Judge John Haven, shared a delightful meal at the historic Fort restaurant, further cementing their connection with the event.

Jasper Lyons - USA
During the day, Jasper is social media director for a tech firm in Boulder, Colorado

Jasper is a younger whisky specialist dedicated to exploring and understanding how and why flavors make it into the glass. His whisky expertise stems from the extensive time he spent understanding how all aspects of production affect the final product. Jasper has visited some of Scotland’s most famous distilleries and spent time shadowing and learning about whisky production directly from a head distiller in Colorado. He has his Level One Whiskey Sommelier Certification from the Whiskey Marketing School and is a Certified Scotch Professional per the Council of Whiskey Masters. You can find him behind the bar at the renowned Burns Pub in Broomfield, CO.

Jasper joined the 2024 Denver International Spirits Competition this year and proved he is a consistent judge with a remarkable palate.

Last Call for North American Made Whiskey!

We have extended the online entry deadlines for the Global Whisky Challenge Part 3, North America to May 24, 2024.
The competition will occur in Denver on June 1-2, 2024, and the final judging round will take place in New York City on June 10, 2024.

The Global Whisky Challenge is the world’s first competition to evaluate whiskies made within three geographical regions. We’ve divided the globe into three sections to create geo-focused, professional, double-blind judging events.
This means that your whisky will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges who are not aware of the brand or origin of the whisky, ensuring a fair and unbiased evaluation.

We’re honored to have Scottish Whisky Expert John Lamond, a Master of Malt and Author, join our judging team.

Only One Global Whisky Champion Will Be Selected!
Our senior judges will meticulously reevaluate the top three winners from each regional competition at the Global Whisky Challenge Grand Finale at Eataly Downtown, New York City, on June 10, 2024.
Our judges will select just one 2024 Global Whisky Champion, a title that comes with a beautiful 18-inch sculptured trophy for display at your tasting room or office and featured editorial pages in Wine Country International ® Magazine and our new magazine,
The World Book of Whisky.
