My Jesus✝️
Jesus is the lord, My Christ.
He died on the cross for my sins
But I have a best friend who follows Muhammad,
And my heart says she’s right for him.
She loves him like I love Jesus.
So who says that both aren’t true?
I trust my best friend with my whole heart;
So, that trust will just have to do.
I have a friend who practices Hinduism
And he follows a path of more deities than one
Vishnu, Lakshmi, Brahma, and Shivu
Are some who guide him through his days in the sun.
So what’s wrong with believing in love?
What trusting my friends represents.
They provide a unity,
A bible of fellowship,
That together as ONE we ascend.
The root word of religion is Ligre
Which means the connect or the bind
So who’s to say there’s only one way
To know enternal peace is what you will find.
Jesus is who I connect to,
He guides me on my way.
But I have a best friend who lives as a monk
And full of peace, love, and joy, he stays.
I have a friend from which Jesus came.
She loves her life as a Jew.
And any Christian who read the Bible
Knows that once our Jesus did too.
So what’s wrong with believing in Love?
What each one of these friends represents.
They provide a oneness,
A bible of acceptance
That together as ONE we ascend.
Yes I believe in the cross,
My Jesus who set me free.
And I will lay all my worries down,
As I worship his grace on my knees.
But I also believe in the Mother our Earth,
And brew magick with her herbal teas.
With every sip I heal and grow,
Just as my Jesus heals the soul in me.
I go to church on some Sundays,
Then practice tarot on other days too.
There are those days I have talked to my ancestors
Or with my dragons I flew.
When the full moon takes over the sky,
And her luminescence is a radiant gleam,
You’ll find me charging my crystals,
And dancing deep in the evergreens.
So whats wrong with believing in Love,
Or the Divine that resides within me?
It provides a magick, a special power of hope
That together as one we’ll succeed.
My Jesus accepts me as I am.
He probably loves the dragons too.
I bet he rides valiantly on their backs
while he answers prayers for you.
So yes I believe in my Jesus,
The Lord, my King, my God
But I also believe in what sets you free
Like my Jesus did for me on the cross.
