KOMPLETE. & She Komplete were honored to have their pastors, Jim & Kim Mannon be guests on their show as the highlight the topics of love and marriage.

The Mannons have been married for 34 years and are pastors of The Assembly Brookhaven. They have spent the majority of their lives in ministry leading others to God.

They’re known for preaching and teaching on various topics of how to grow a more intimate relationship with God, how to live on the flip side, a godly marriage and much more.

In this episode, they shared their wisdom on what a godly marriage looks like. “You have to choose to love each other,” Pastor Jim Mannon said. In spite of everyone’s love story being different, each one should be surrendered to God for Him to lead and guide the couple.

You can catch the Mannons serving at church and in the community. They’ll be partnering with Consistency Beyond Limitations for their 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, 10/26/24 in downtown Brookhaven.

The entire community (children, family, & business owners) is invited to attend this event starting at 6pm. You’re also invited to midweek Bible study every Wednesday at 6pm and church service every Sunday at 10am.

KOMPLETE. & She Komplete truly enjoyed chatting with Dr. Wesley Bridges, CEO of Clergy for Prison Reform

During their conversation, Dr. Bridges shared that he knew God had called him to a higher purpose soon after becoming a minister. Years later, God revealed that purpose through the prison reform.

The Clergy for Prison Reform fights for human rights prisoners should receive while serving their time. “Once the judge hits the gamble, the consequences for a prisoner’s actions have been made,” Bridges said, “To treat them like anything less than humans while they serve their time is just inhumane”.

Today, Dr. Bridges works in ministry full time with the reform ensuring the rights of prisoners throughout the state of Mississippi while being a pastor at his church. He’s also a Lawerence County Board Member, husband to Lady Maria Bridges, Father and overall community leader.

The best advice I could give to people in a relationship is to listen to God over the outside noise. Listening to Pastor Marcus Whitman of Storehouse Church commend me for praying for Kris and being patient with him over nagging him meant so much. There’s times where I was only following the Holy Spirit because I hadn’t read that “part” in the Bible yet. God said, “You can marry him now” when I didn’t think it was time. God said, “Just love him” when he shut down mentally and somewhat physically in 2020. God said, “Trust Him” when we both became full time entrepreneurs in 2023 with NO PLAN B. I could go on and on, but being present in moments like these brings everything to a full circle! I listened to God then and I will continue to listen to Him now. I’m seeking Him daily (as we all should) so I’ll know what to do and where to go and all areas of my life.
