Elena Schlossberg of The Coalition to Protect Prince William County speaks before the Virginia Dept. Of Environmental Quality, opposing a variant that would grant data centers a waiver to run their diesel generators when the electrical grid is overburden during April-July this year. Each building has around 30 diesel generators. They run at around 95 decibels and blow diesel exhaust into the air, which has noxious gases, small particles, soot and carcinogens. The DEQ will accept written comments until Mar. 14th.

Yesterday, thousands of students across Virginia waked out of school in protest of Gov. Youngkin’s model policy for treatment of transgender students in Va K-12 Public Schools. The policy allows parents to dictate how their children will be identified and addressed in the classroom. Some teens are not happy with the policy reversal.
