Happy New Year Bristow!!!!!
I want to let each one of you know that I’ve had to make a difficult decision to step down as city council for Ward 3 for 2024.
I have been juggling many extra hats for some time now. Many of you know, I took
care of my aunt with cancer (my moms identical twin) for 2 years until she passed in May. Unfortunately, my Mom has declined rapidly with Parkinson’s since her twin passed. As this new year has brought another challenging role taking shifts as a care taker for my mother, I feel that between work and traveling for shifts to care for my mother, I won’t be able to serve the community as much as it needs.
While this was a difficult decision, I feel peace about it being the right decision.
I want you all to know that I have thoroughly enjoyed serving on city council and will be forever grateful for the opportunity and experience to serve this community that I love like family!
If you know anyone that you would recommend to take my seat for Ward 3, please share this opportunity with them!
They will be serving with an amazing team!
This page will ultimately be deleted as I won’t hold the position as soon as we find a replacement. Again, thank you for allowing me to serve! I’ve enjoyed every moment!
Sincerely,
Tanya Langley
City councilman Ward 3
