Born and raised in New Jersey, Afino started his musical journey back in 2002 during the 6th grade, when he, his cousin and a few friends decided to start a metal band called Failure In Vanity. Over the course of 9 years Afino wrote guitar, drums, vocals, performed live, participated in Battle of the Bands, and recorded multiple albums at various studios. During the year of 2011, he started to bui
ld a home studio so that he could study music production, recording, mixing and mastering. Afino found a small entertainment company to work for from 2013 to 2014, and quickly became their DJ manager and also their most requested DJ and highly rated entertainer. Afino left the company in 2014, and ventured out on his own, creating Afino Entertainment, and ever since has been providing private event entertainment services to clients all throughout Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York City and New Jersey. He has received multiple awards, including "1st Place Best DJ of 2013" (The Best Happening List of NJ), "3rd Place" (Tiffany's Battle of the DJ's), "2nd Place" (Rumor 35 DJ Battle), "Best DJ of 2015" (Thumbtack.com), "Best DJ of 2015" (Fort Lee, NJ), as well as "Best DJ of 2016" (Thumbtack.com). As of March of 2016, he currently has over 130 five-star reviews on Thumbtack, Google & Yelp. Afino began his music production in 2011. Ever since, he has been producing original songs, remixes, mashups, edits, and mixes for people to enjoy. He performs at live events every weekend, gaining experience and giving him time to perfect his craft every day of the week. Unlike some other artists, his live performance is impromptu. He always chooses a unique way to open and close his sets, however all of the music in between is selected during the performance. This is the best way for him to take his listeners on a musical journey and also to keep them engaged, interested and wanting more. He creates his own video footage, graphics, logos, and handles all of his social media platforms.
