Hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🦃

It’s not too late to make a big difference in someone’s life this holiday season. We have under one week left to adopt and shop for 38 seniors.
How it works:
1. You easily sign up for a senior that is in-need
2. You receive your assigned senior’s wish list
3. You shop for your senior in the next week and drop off gifts off to the city by 12/5/24.

We are in our final push for this season.
Please consider supporting a local senior or sharing about this program TODAY. We appreciate you.

Join us for Country Fest to Cure ALS on Saturday, September 28th

All proceeds will benefit the ALS CURE Project’s mission to cure ALS. The ALS CURE Project was founded in 2019 by Mike Piscotty and his son, former Oakland Athletics baseball player Stephen Piscotty. The charity honors Mike’s wife, Gretchen Piscotty, who passed from ALS in 2018. The ALS CURE Project is an all-volunteer 501.3c charity that has sponsored more than $2.8 million in international ALS research collaborations since its inception.

The event features three hours of live country music with Nashville recording artists Jason Blaine, Josh Melton and newcomer Jennifer Grant. Blaine is the Canadian Country Music Awards songwriter of the year. He won the honor with his hit, “The Road That Raised You Up.” In 2023, Melton earned his first No. 1 song with Dylan Scott’s Platinum single, “Can’t Have Mine.” Grant will join the lineup, bringing her sultry country voice to the Country Fest to Cure ALS stage for the first time. Tickets are available for the event at Blackhawk Museum at: https://paybee.io/@28

On Saturday, Sept. 28, the venue shifts to Hannah Nicole Winery in Brentwood. The event begins at 2 p.m. and will include seven hours of live country music with two local acts and three Nashville artists. Local country music favorites, Toree McGee and the Carousel Cowboys will open the event at 3 p.m. Grant will lead off the Nashville artists with her blend of country favorites and original songs. Then, Melton and Blaine will take the stage to cap off the two nights of incredible entertainment. Blaine will treat the audience to all the hits and songs from his newly released album. His hits include timeless favorite “Dance With My Daughter.” This will be Blaine’s fourth consecutive year playing Country Fest to Cure ALS.

The VIP experience includes an indoor plated dinner, a live auction, special unplugged performances from the Nashville artists and premium table seating for the concert. The VIP dinner and general admission tickets as well as sponsorship packages are available at: https://paybee.io/@33 or alscure.org.

Do you mind sharing this post?

Last week, our detectives and officers, in collaboration with loss prevention teams and the Oakley PD, conducted an organized retail theft operation in our city. Our detectives, dressed in plain clothes, collaborated with local stores such as Kohl’s, Ulta ,Home Depot, and Marshalls to catch individuals who stole or attempted to steal merchandise.

Overall, the operation led to five arrests, including one juvenile arrest.

We want to send a clear message to those considering stealing in our city: we work closely with our businesses and their loss prevention teams to prevent thefts and hold thieves accountable. Whether it’s a plainclothes detective nearby or loss prevention monitoring through video surveillance, we are vigilantly protecting our community.

A big thank you to Oakley PD, along with employees of Kohl’s, Ulta, Home Depot, and Marshalls, for their help in this operation!

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post. Together, we can keep our city safe.
