Due to continued poor road conditions countywide, all Brentwood schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 8. This includes the Brentwood Early Childhood Center, district offices, Y-Care, and all before-school activities.

While the main roads are improving, many neighborhood and subdivision streets, as well as sidewalks, remain icy and unsafe. We are also mindful of the safety of our students and staff who commute from outside the district. Like other districts across the region, we are prioritizing the safety and well-being of our community in making this decision.

A decision regarding after-school activities will be made tomorrow, and we will share updates as soon as possible.

We understand the challenges this closure may bring and appreciate your patience and support as we work to keep everyone safe.

We want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact our staff has made in our communities last year. Thanks to their dedication and your continued support, we’ve been able to make a meaningful difference through volunteerism, donations, and partnerships with local organizations.

Here are just a few highlights from this year’s efforts:

🛠️ 941.5 hours volunteered: Across 80 different opportunities, our team came together to lend a helping hand to those who needed it most.

💰$8,640 raised through "Denim for Dollars": These funds were distributed to eight local organizations, helping to support a variety of important causes.

🧺 Generous donations to collection drives: From our month-long CU Give campaign to the Crisis Nursery Diaper Drive, your contributions and our team’s efforts made these initiatives a success.

As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to continue this tradition of service and invite you to follow along as our employees work to make even greater strides in our communities. Be sure to follow along on social media for updates on upcoming initiatives ➡️ westcommunitycu.org/about/community.htm

Happy New Year!
