Here it is - the reveal of the big studio secret that I have been hinting at! My studio and its story (written by me and photographed by Forever Images by Melissa Ann, LLC ) is published in @inherstudiomagazine , a publication of Stampington & Company !
What a dream come true! I'm so very blessed to be able to use this wonderful space every day to paint and operate my small business.
Big gigantic thanks to Matt Van Soest and the Bremen Community Cares, Inc - Project Downtown organization for creating studios and performance spaces for the arts in our community! Design, Art, Music, Theatre, Dance - they are important, and they aren't created in a vacuum. They are bred from culture, memory, experience, technique, talent, relationships and very expensive supplies and services. BCC has made those expenses a little more sustainable, and I hope to invite inside in person very soon! Details on a Spring Open House are coming up!
It's been a while since I shared a process video. Here's a sleepy little fox I'm working on today. Would you like to see more of these watercolor videos?
New shop in Downtown Nappanee!
This weekend I stopped in to visit 1874 Found Goods + Gifts - a brand new antique & gift boutique in Nappanee Indiana. My friend, Jeannie, is the owner, and she has curated a wonderful selection of some of the area's best dealers. There's a corner where you'll also find some fine artisan wares like candles, pottery, embroidery and my own art prints.
Find the store on South Main Street just a couple doors North of Sweet G's ice cream.
Who needs a fun evening out with the girls? Tag some friends and join me in my studio on Monday, November 25th, for a little shopping, refreshments and a lot of creative fun with this class on creating a set of six beautiful mixed media gift tags illustrated with my artwork! Cost is $15 each, and you'll get all supplies and access to print more at home!
Doors open at 6:30. The creativity starts at 7:00!
I'll be creating an official event soon, but you can sign up by just messaging me.
Oh my lovely customers and stockists! You have been so good to me the last few days! ๐ Thank you thank you to all of those who came to encourage and buy at Arts on the Millrace (and the volunteers there too)!
My inventory is low on stationery right now, and it's time to flip seasons, so I'm making deep price cuts on a few remaining things and will be assembling some of my wildly-popular grab bags in the coming days too.
Check out the sale link below to shop the discounted items now, and watch my account for the release of the grab bags! โ๏ธ
I'm so excited to restock new goodies for the cozy months soon!

My new blank watercolor desk calendar from Grabie is going to be just the thing to help me warm up on studio days and try some of the Creative ideas I have on a small scale. Plus! When I'm finished, I'll have a lovely year's worth of calendar pages to display at my desk on the handy little stand!
Would you like to try this too? Head over to Grabie's account to find their website and use code JESSICA15 to get 15% off your order, and #letsgrabie !
My Open Studio Sale is this Saturday! Time to clean up! I'm listening to "Yacht Rock" all day - Christopher Cross, The Eagles, Steely Dan. ๐ I'm not even THAT old, but I dig it.
More info on the event on my main page. Hope to see you there!

Have you heard about the "Boo Basket" trend going on this fall? Gals are dropping hints all over the web to their guys about fun little gift baskets filled with their favorite things. If you'd like me to send one to your "boo," just place an order for a minimum of four items in my shop, and drop a message in the "note to seller" section that you'd like the special giftwrapping option, and I'll wrap them up special with crinkle paper or tissue and pretty trims, and a surprise or two.
Shown in this set is a box of eight September Gatherings notecards with self-adhesive wax seals, a pocket notebook, a set of four magnetic bookmarks, and a 5x7 fine art print of my Little Barred Owl. Click the Etsy link in my profile to shop!
