Sometimes you get to shoot and tell a story that is a little off the beaten path. This project is just that. Los Angeles based Citizen Medic reached out to DirectLine Media and asked us to produce a video that follows the making of a replica of the Crysknife from the movie Dune. The knife was to be auctioned at a movie premiere fundraiser. We accepted the challenge.
We spent 4 days with accomplished blacksmith Emiliano Carrillo Sun and Stars Forge - Emiliano Carrillo who works out of shop right here in Connecticut. Surrounded by fire, sparks, and heavy machines we captured Emiliano's process of turning raw metal into a work of art.
