Last night we found ourselves in Cowtown!
Huge shoutout to Chloey Powell for representing Lohn FFA with a calf scramble catch at the Fort Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo!
Thanks to the support of the Fort Worth Livestock Show & Rodeo, our youth are given incredible opportunities, and with Chloey’s successful catch, she earned $500 to put toward the purchase of a new heifer project!
Chloey also participated in the Waco Scramble this past fall, adding even more to her fund. She’s got her sights set on more! Chloey is scheduled to scramble at San Angelo, San Antonio, and Houston this year – with talent and a bit of luck, she’ll be well on her way to grabbing a nice heifer!
So far, Chloey has secured $6,500 in scholarship money, and with her continued effort, she’s in the running for over $30,000! Keep it up, Chloey – we’re cheering you on all the way!

Knowing the signs isn’t enough; you must act if you witness signs of possible human trafficking. While the presence of an indicator itself does not confirm the occurrence of human trafficking, DPS encourages everyone to make a report right away to let law enforcement investigate.

If you witness signs of human trafficking, here is how you can report it:

📞 Call 911 immediately to make a report and be ready to give as many details as possible;
📱 Make a report on iWatchTexas (iWatchTX.org; iWatchTexas mobile app or by calling 844-643-2251);
📞 Call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text “BeFree” to 233733.

Remember: Do not endanger yourself or others by intervening or confronting someone you suspect of engaging in human trafficking.
