This Friday, October 27th, Tall Tales & Short Stories is featuring political novels and how they can shape and change the reader's beliefs. Some of our best political novelists are John D McDonald, Carl Hiaason, Alex Haley, and now David Grann. The stories are based on actual political events.
Our first speaker will be Richard Bonte discussing The Baja Redemption which is totally applicable to events in Israel this month. A Second Promised Land for the Jews--would they be welcomed?
In Memory of another political writer, Mary Manila, Dona Lee will be discussing Mary's novel Foretold, based on an Indian Prophecy of the tribes of Yucca Mountain. The first CBS on air Reporter, Mary ran across this story during the Bush2 terms. It is extremely political and indicates VP Chaney as one of the bad operatives. Dona Lee will also discuss other local novels with strong political themes and how to weave the story to sway the reader rather than lecture.
Hope to see some of you at the FREE Event this Friday, October 27th at 6pm.
Wine will now be permitted at the soirees (BYOB) and coffee and soda will be available for purchase.

This is an element from Nika's story. Check out the comments. The visons of the Hat Man, the protector vibes most commenters mentioned and then the faction who also had visions of glowing red eyes chasing them. Often the Hat Man helped those being hunted by the evil red eyes. Wow.

Should we ask Nika if she has seen the Hat Man? Or had visions of the glowing red eyes? She wouldn't be alone. And the followers of Witches & Old Souls are likely readers who would enjoy her new novel.
A place to find a couple Beta Readers perhaps.

Friday August 13th to Sunday August 15th FREE Giveaway.
This weekend our Free Culture Coast Writers Giveaway is a repeat.
We had to do it. Like Groundhog Day, Every Friday the 13th, we provide our friends, family, and fans with another opportunity to enter the world of unique:
"Friday the 13th with Freud: Spoofing Sigmund on Triskaidekaphobia" is an amusing romp into the fear of thirteen written by Kathryn Levison.

Take one legit degree in psych, add an undergrad in psychoanalysis (which doesn't exist), stir in plenty of pseudo-academic jargon, then sit back & laugh your way through thirteen short off the wall roasts inspired by the infamous Sigmund Freud.
As one reviewer wrote: "I liked ... the subjugation of s*x by this great wordsmith. A fair analysis of Freud; appreciated the fact that this woman, the author, did not run him down as is the custom these days (especially by women)."

Please leave a 4 or 5* review on Amazon if you enjoy the stories. Indie writers thrive on good reviews. Thanks.
